Another update!

Dear people,

The Maya's were right after all. It seems like 2012 is indeed going to be the end...of file sharing. Hell no. We don't think so, as we believe that as long as there is a demand for something, there are going to be people offering it. If there's a demand for warez or any other files, people are going to offer it. We've seen a lot of file hosting services bite the dust over the past few months. RIP all, except Fileserve, because the owner is an idiot. We've seen people move to uploaded.to and too many other file hosting services. Right now there is no leading file hosting service like there was before. And if there is, it could be different tomorrow. It's hard for us to satisfy all users if all files are scattered over a lot of different file hosting services. So what's the future of tomtest.net you may ask. Well, we are going to split up tomtest.net in two. The 'cookies' part will stay on tomtest.net, while the 'premium link generator' part will move to a separate website. The 'premium link generator' part will consist of a free service for regular users and a paid service for the more demanding users. It will be launched in the coming months, so stay tuned. TomTest.net will stay free of course. It is also getting a new design soon, to celebrate it's first anniversary! We'll keep you informed. Thanks for supporting us!

Update: Uploaded.to seems to detect account sharing (Multiple IP's using same account). You will get a message like 'Download Blocked (ip)'. There is nothing we can do about it (except offering you the premium link generator). May I also remind you about the daily limit of 3 GB, because some people seem to have forgotten it already.

I run a forum and after trying to figure what was the best file hosting sites to allow to be posted on the forum we the admins decided that they change daily and it would be impossible to satisfy everyone. So we started our own leech server and now it does not matter who posts what link to whatever file hosting site we as members have the access to the files. Each member donates their file hosting site and in that way all the users can have access to the files. Those that donate are given special privs like ftp access to the files with no time limit on deletion. I believe that more forums will go that way but unfortunatly because of their greed that too will have a short life span.

Yeah, that's a great idea as nobody can afford premium accounts for that many different file hosting services. That's also basically the idea of the website I'm going to release soon, just another (custom) debrid/leeching service supporting multiple file hosting services but free.

@rezox Don't worry, it won't be expensive as we all want to give you as much as possible for a low price. TomTest.net will not give up that fast. We're a community - we do fight! @fantistic: It's a 1 Gbps server (1000 Megabits/second = 125 Megabytes/second). So if it's slow the problem would be your own connection as we aren't even using 10% (12,5 Megabytes/second) of our total speed right now.

The daily limit for Uploaded.to is 750 MB. Max. filesize is 750 MB. You can download one link at a time. Please note that we cannot increase this limit, so requesting won't help.

A server in Brazil would be the solution! I doubt there trying to disable (FBI). TomTest has been the best site to generate the links. The service will be paid? Do not understand very well how the new era will be TomTest ...

@charlops: Oron is too limited, Luckyshare is too small. @sjmtrbta: Our server is not the problem, I see people downloading with speeds up to 40 Mbit/s. So it's either your own connection or Rapidshare is having a problem on one of it's servers. @scorpionscover: Use the Premium Link Generator.

Rapidshare is indeed a joke.. not because of speeds but timeouts..eg. you will download at 456 kb/sec a 5 mb file but it will take an hour or so, lol! So many complaints from their paid customers.. and they couldn't care less. Imagine that there are forums that prohibit posting links in rapidhshare, like it is a 5th class virus/ad site, Rapidshare! It is, however, remarkable how they managed to destroy their own site from being top to... rock bottom!

Rapidshare is indeed a joke.. not because of speeds but timeouts..eg. you will download at 456 kb/sec a 5 mb file but it will take an hour or so, lol! @miscel829: I will re-add it soon. Im working on a solution for the Captcha they put on every 100 downloads. @unjoker: Jumbofiles is down. Takes ages to load the page, and when it does load it shows a 500 Internal Server Error. Why haven't you checked this yourself? Furthermore, this is why we put a 'Report a problem' link on the Multi Premium Link Generator page. @miodrag2005l: Fixed.
